I emphasize collaboration— from planning treatments (complete with realistic options) and disease prevention, to reduction of health risks with the goal of optimum health. Over the past 10 years, I have honed my skills and the art of listening to you. Tell me how you feel, what impact it is having on your life and why you don’t feel like “you”. If you already feel great, I want to make sure we take steps to keep you feeling that way.
I develop plans and provide options – using my expertise coupled with your needs we make a treatment plan that makes sense to you, doesn’t interfere with your day-to-day life, and a plan with which you want to follow through.
I am persistent – I am willing to think “outside the medical text book”, learn new things, collaborate with other medical professionals and keep working with you until we find an answer. If you are not feeling well and an answer as to why is not easily found, I will keep searching… this is a key personality attribute of mine that has largely created my reputation for tenacity and has served to grow my practice. The greatest form of flattery is a referral.
My skills enable me to recognize when other specific medical conditions exist and Chiropractic care may complement or support medical treatment by relieving the musculoskeletal aspects associated with the condition. I readily refer patients to an appropriate health care provider when Chiropractic care is not suitable for the patient’s condition, or the condition warrants co-management in conjunction with other members of the health care team.
Known for my compassion and listening skills, I customize my patient’s treatment to specific needs and concerns. I treat patients of all ages, but specialize in sports medicine and total joint replacements. I diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders and will refer back to an appropriate medical doctor when a diagnosis does not match signs and symptoms.
I believe that more than one type of medical provider may be necessary to restore patients back to a pain free lifestyle. I work closely with a medical team who I will refer if a multi-disciplinary treatment approach is warranted or if a different medical provider may provide more appropriate treatment. Every patient is unique and as such every treatment plan is customized to the needs of that patient.
Each person has different needs, I implement unique solutions based on your personal goals, not protocols based on average results or generalized research populations.
I am your partner in healing, “If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
I am passionate about finding the most effective methods to return you to your desired activities, even if I am not included in that plan. Sometimes knowing when, and who, to ask for help can make the difference in the progress that can be achieved.
My expertise lies in the arena of identifying trigger points, severe muscle spasms which are common pain generators, to alleviate the source of the pain. My methodology combines deep tissue massage and Swedish Massage to work the deeper muscles and to relax a patient once those deeper muscles have been addressed.
I am adamant about responding appropriately to patient requests relative to pressure, especially when an extremely tender spot is at issue.
With over three decades in practice, having treated over 6000 patients, I remain passionate about treating every new patient. Each patient presents a mystery to be solved and my ability to unravel that mystery quickly and efficiently has led to my continued success over the years.
My post-graduate work after my training at Palmer College of Chiropractic includes certifications in Trauma and Sports Medicine. My additional Trauma training aids in the proficient treatment of car accident victims, and my Sports Certification aids the treatment of sport injuries as well as helping athletes improve overall performance.
